This organization is affiliated with the National CCW organization, which empowers women to assist in parish needs, prayer, providing church and altar supplies, hosting various functions, receptions  and funeral luncheons.  All women of the parish are welcome to belong.  CCW President:  Vicki Hesse.

Members of the Parish Finance Committee are appointed by the pastor to oversee the parish finances and budget.  Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of the month.  Finance Committee Chairperson:  Patricia Rafftery.

Members of the Parish Council are appointed to serve this visionary committee by the pastor.  Meetings are held on the  third Tuesday of the month.  Parish Council Chairperson:  Judy Anfang.

For more than 15 years, St. Columba has been blessed to have Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration in our chapel. Parishioners and non-parishioners  are asked to sign up to sit one hour with our Lord each week.  Sign up forms are available in the chapel.  Anyone who cannot sign up for an hour is encouraged to stop by for personal prayer at any time.  Contact  Adoration Coordinators:  Carol Hansen or Lynn Browne.

Lay and Extraordinary Ministry

Serving the Lord is both a privilege and responsibility of believers who are  a part of  a community of believers .  Please consider giving your time as a Mass Server (boys and girls- grades 4 and up), Eucharistic  Minister, Lector, Sacristan, Usher, or Greeter.  The schedule is prepared 3 months in advance.  Please contact the parish office if you are interested in serving as a volunteer.

St. Columba Choir

Adults and children (grade 4 and up) are invited to participate as choir members or musical instrumentalists. Choir members sing three times per month at the 9:00 AM Mass and for special services during Lent/Easter and Advent/Christmas seasons.  Practice is held Wednesday evenings at 7:00 PM. Bible Study / Bible Share

There are two bible study groups who meet at St. Columba.  The first group meets September through May on the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month at 7:00 PM in the Share Room.  Contact Bill Wald (651) 646-3602 . 

A second group meets once a month on the  second Tuesday of the month at 1;00 PM in the main church vestibule.  Contact Lois Wethern (651) 488-2399

Loaves & Fishes

The second Friday of each month St. Columba volunteers prepare  and serve a meal for those in need at Dorothy Day Center in downtown St. Pau.  Volunteers arrive at 2:30 PM for set up and meal service.  Clean up  usually is completed by 6:30 PM.  Contact Bernie Hesse (651) 492-9090.

 

Adult Volleyball League

The Adult Volleyball League season runs from September to April and meets in the school gymnasium on Friday evenings.  Sign up begins in early September and space is limited.  The cost is $20 per person.  Contact:  Dave Dahl (651) 645-9411
